I have finished 3 days of Insanity and I LOVE it! If any of you have tried the program you may think I'm crazy or even if you've seen the commercials for it. It's one of those love to hate things. I hate it but I love it. I am not a heavy sweater at all....I don't sweat super easy and when I workout it's usually not bad. You should just see when I do this workout, I look like I just came out of the pool....lol! This exercise is definitely true to its name. PURE genius and we all know with genius comes a bit of the insane.
I've been asked how does it compare to P90x? I don't feel it fair to compare the two because they are not alike at all. Sure they both have plyometric workouts but insanity is most definitely cardio. EVERY disc is cardio and not just cardio but insane cardio. P90X is an all around system that switches you up every week, the thing I really like about P90X compared to Insanity is that you have more of a recovery. Yes your still working your body but your changing it up everyday, from plyo to weights to yoga, etc. Insanity is just straight up KILLER! I do not believe in any way, shape, or form that this exercise program is good for beginners or people with injuries. To sum it up it's pretty much ALL jumping. I don't want you all to misunderstand me though I do LOVE this program. I love it because I feel that it's that extra shove for me since I have been used to pretty much everything else. It is amazing cardio and it does mix in alot of strength too but by using your own body weight which is great for us women since we don't want to bulk up like the guys, but to tone. I think that the downfall of insanity is that it is very easy to injure yourself while doing the workouts since it is constant jumping it is crucial to focus on form. Therefore, if you're super tired a break is better than to push yourself because you tend to lose your form. Shaun T stresses this throughout the videos which is great.
I recommend both P90X and Insanity, the question to ask yourself is what is it you want to accomplish and where are you at in your exercise routine at this point? I don't feel one is better than the other because they are soooo different. Insanity is true to its name and I am loving hating every minute of it. When I finish I feel AMAZING! (and exhausted, just had to throw that in there and keep it real) lol. #

The insane asylum. # It's time for some INSANITY!
Ya remember almost 2 mos ago I was talking about how excited I was because I ordered the Insanity program....yeah well.....I JUST received it today! HOLY SMOKES! I thought for sure that I had just been screwed over, I filed a dispute with ioffer and paypal to try and get my money back. The tracking number that I had been given had said the same thing this entire time. I ordered and paid for the set a month and a half ago. Talk about snail mail. Don't be discoraged by ioffer though, it really is a good site I've ordered other things from there with no problems at all. Just like it is with ebay you have to be careful. But I got my product so I am a happy camper and excited to start it!! I'll give you all the updates and details as I go. Pretty dang sure no weight will be lost, which is fine because I am not looking to lose any!! I don't need to at all but would like to tone some more and just be in general fit plus the fact that I am just addicted to it...lol. So enough of my chatter....I'm off to the insanity! ^
If you haven't figured it out by now I am ALWAYS up for a challenge, and finding new extreme workouts is the BEST! Meet Insanity.

The method behind the madness:
The secret to these mind-blowing results: Max Interval Training Shaun T took traditional interval training and flipped it on its head—you perform long bursts of maximum-intensity exercises with short periods of rest. Each workout keeps you constantly challenged as you alternate between aerobic and anaerobic intervals performed at your MAX. The result: burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour and get the most insane body in 60 days.
I just ordered this sucker and I'm soooooo pumped to receive it!! I LOVE to be challenged and this one looks pretty sweet. This dvd series is put out by beachbody the very same company that did P90X. Beachbody....I love you. ^ If you haven't seen the commercials on it go to the link below to check it out.

I also wanted to give those of you who want these programs a little advice. Instead of buying them off of beachbody.com where thy charge you about 120-140 for the sets, try getting them elsewhere. I know ebay is a super popular site and I use to love it and still do for certain things but there's a site exactly like ebay that's cheaper, the catch- it comes from overseas like japan and china. It's called Ioffer.com and it's so worth a look. I got a juicy couture purse for 30 there. I also just purchased this insanity brand new set with books included for 48. A far cry from the 130 bucks beachbody wants for it. If your a deal searcher like me then ioffer is the site for you.
