Wishful Wednesday- Career

How funny is it that yesterday as I was going about my business I thought, "oh cool todays wednesday, I'll have to do my wishful post" and then had total brain fart and forgot it all together?? Not really funny because I tend to do that more and more each day, I'm telling ya kids melt your brain...lol. Plus the constant go go go of yesterday doesn't help. Got the kids up and ready to head over to the bootcamp I teach in the mornings on M, W, F. Then after that came home and changed and back out to the store for some supplies to make this yummy antipasto salad recipe I found. # Then home to feed whiney kids, and make the salad, and of course naptime for the baby. Then off to the pool for an hr before having to rush to get rdy for school. Not a bad day by any means just alot to do. Anyway enough of the chit chat and lets cut to the main event of this post to makeup my wednesday...

This weeks Wishful Wednesday......."I wish" I had the opportunity to change careers and it would be to become *drum roll* a celebrity makeup/hair stylist.

I could've said celebrity stylist but that could mean their wardrobe too. Since I am in cosmetology school that's obviously a career I am working toward. I think it would be so fun to work with movie companies or television networks to do the actor/actresses makeup and hair or even for photo shoots for magazines. That would be amazing!! I was asked just yesterday by a girl in Coffee Bean if I could do her and her friends makeup and hair for Prom this Friday. YAY! I'm on my way. #

What would your career switch be?^

Wishful Wednesday- SATC2

Last weeks wishful wednesday was cancelled so I am glad to have this weeks ready to go! This week Kelsey over at Seattle Smiths wants to know which character from SATC2 would you choose to be?

I think they are all pretty over the top personalities so my choice would be to blend Charlotte and Carrie. I used to watch this show all the time when it came to TBS as re-runs, I watched it from start to finish.

I love Carries independent perconality, her addiction to shopping and shoes, and her free will attitude.

I love Charlottes dedication to family and her friends. She's the most caring of the bunch, and her sophistcated style is super cute. Carrie dresses a little outrageous at times but fun to see what she'll wear next. This flashback picture is too funny, Carries maddona look is hilarious.

So which SATC2 character would you be?

Wishful Wednesday- Accidental Garbage

Wednesday is here again!! Oh how I love wednesdays, definite Favorite blog days. Mainly because I am so ridiculously behind on my blogging that wednesdays are about the only days that I post anymore...lol. I vow to catch you all up asap on the family and pictures! (Definitely by the wkend) On to our wish for the week:

I wish I hadn't thrown away.....my original caricature from Disneyland.

(sadly i don't even have a picture of it)Sounds silly right?! I know, I can read your thoughts. # When Kurt and I were dating we went to Disneyland together and took the time to have a caricature drawn of us. It came out soooooooo perfect. It wasn't overdone you know where they really cartoon you up. It accented the features that really are accented anyway on our faces. It was a profile drawing of us facing eachother and in the middle was a heart with our names and the date. We LOVED that thing. It signified the start of us, and it was just all around cute. One day, years later, we took it to bed bath and beyond with us to try and find a frame to fit. The drawing was on a very odd size board an figuring out a frame was complicated. So we brought the caricature with us to the store to find just the right size. We found a frame and went out to the car. I'm pretty sure we had Emmitt and maybe Alaina with us, memory is foggy...that's what kids do to you. lol. Anyway I remember it was a rush to get in the car and load everything in. We grabbed the bag and almost left Kurts wallet, got in the car and went home. When we got home I realized the caricature was nowhere to be found. OMG! We call the store and ask if someone found it anywhere they say no. So we drove back out to the store, and we had used a cart from the store next to bed bath beyond. You know when they mix the carts and you can't really tell which ones for which store, ya that was our issue. So anyway we ask that stoe if anyone turned it in, no luck. We searched the lot of carts for it....gone. I was crying on the way home, forever lost was a giant memory.
We went back to disneyland a couple months later and got another caricature done, it was AWFUL! No where near as good and looked more like a horrible self portrait. I will always wonder what happened to our picture. Some dumb person probably found it and threw it in the trash.

Ahhhh....memories. Whats something you wish you had never thrown away?? To get in on the action click the wednesday link.^

Wishful Wednesday- Memorable Jobs

I wish that I could go back and spend one day working at a job from my youth and it would be.....waitressing.

I LOVED waitressing particularly when I worked at Black Angus. I love working in a social environment, jobs at a desk are so boring to me. I also enjoyed the instant gratification from my tips, and the knowledge that a paycheck was coming as well. Tips were the best, they were the money that stayed in my pocket while my paychecks went into the bank account. Kurt & I were newly married when I worked there, and it's also the job where I met my bestfriend Christine. # Black Angus was so much fun, the people that I worked with were awesome and the discount was definitely a bonus. (they have my favorite chocolate cake ever- Big Mtn Fudgecake)

If the caption hadn't said youth by my far my most memorable job would be LA Fitness as an aerobics instructor. The MOST enjoyable job I have ever held, and sooooooo FUN! I taught club boxing, kickboxing, aqua, and bootcamp. I will never forget that job.

What is your most memorable job, good or bad? To join in on wishes just click on the wishful wednesday icon picture.^

Wishful Wednesday....Glee

I LOVE this weeks wishful wednesday topic because I adore this show and yes, you can call me a "gleek".#

I wish....If I could be a character on Glee it would be Quinn Fabray.

Now I realize that if you had to pick the top vocal female talent on the show the obvious choice would be Rachel Berry, and I have a feeling that the majority of the posts are probably about Rachels character. So I decided to go with the less obvious. I really loved Quinns character in the first season and the few episodes where you were able to hear her sing a solo. Her vocal talent isn't super powerful but soft and pretty. I guess I'm partial to her cheerleader role as well. # Rachel is definitely a favorite as well her quirkiness is what gets me.^ Quinn is beautiful and I fell in love with her character name, if I was crazy enough to have another baby and it were a girl I'd name her Quinn.

The recent madonna episode was AWESOME! All the numbers were sweet, vogue with Sue Sylvester was hilarious and the 4 minutes at the end was amazing.

The Interrogation

Hey there Loves! I miss all my fun weekly posts, I have been way behind. Slacking off on my style mondays, wishful wednesdays, and feature fridays. I'm gonna have to get with the program! Maybe a sticky on my fridge will help me stay on track.

Yesterdays wishful wednesday was about charities and which one you'd donate to if you had the extra money honey. I think this is a really tough one just because there are plenty of amazing charities out there that are very deserving. But....I have always loved the St. Judes one. (maybe it's my maiden name that makes me partial to it....Jude....lol) I love this one because they treat children with cancer and help forward cancer research which now having kids of my own I can see just how difficult that would be to fight something like that. It's hard seeing anyone suffer but watching children do it is heartbreaking. I had a girlfriend from highschool about yr ago that I watched go through this exact situation with her almost 2 yr old son. It was awful and I can only imagine how she felt. She lost her sweet baby boy to the never ending battle of cancer. Definitely a worthy cause to donate to.

On another note: Break out those bright lights and cold metal rooms because the interrogation is about to begin. It's your turn to run my blog, I'm looking for your questions. Ask me anything: are you the good cop or bad cop? Hurry and get them in so that I can make the post a good one. Just leave me a comment with the questions that you want to know. I'll give you till Friday- 4/23 that's next week so time is running out! #

Update on our family: To keep you all posted since I haven' been the best on staying on top of things, I was just about to end this post when I realized I should probably update you all a bit. We are settled in here in Santa Clarita. Loving the new condo, smaller space is less space to clean!! lol. We are in the Canyon Country second ward and they all were very welcoming last Sunday and brought me some goodies. I'm loving having some younger families around! Kurts jumping right in because they just started softball for the men so we are attending his first dbl header game tomorrow. I love going to the games! (yes I'm still a cheerleader) # The kids are doing great! Emmitt will be starting school in August. We're looking into a preschool for Alaina and gymnastics if we can find something more affordable. If not, then she'll go back to dance. Maddox is looking as though he's going to be crawling very soon!! He gets up on his knees and rocks back and forth, he still only says dada....darn it. # We discovered the first signs of his very first tooth coming in. He's got a little red swollen dot on his bottom gums. Teething baby here we come! School for me is awesome! I have my first client to come to school tmrw, my girl Christine is coming in!! YAY! So excited, I sort of feel like a loser when everyone has friends and family come in except me....lol. Kurts business is picking up...hooray! Now we just say hi bye to eachother. He comes in from work and I go out to school. Livin the dream, ha ha. Our camra issue is still not fixed, the usb ports on our laptop are broken so now I have to find the time to go to walmart and transfer our pictures onto a disc to put on the computer...oye vey! Well don't forget about those questions and I hope you all have a fabulous wkend! I'll try and remember to do my feature friday post for tmrw. ^

Wishful Wednesday

YAY I am on top of things! Here's this weeks Wishful Wednesday:
'I wish' .... I could afford one of these Coach bags without putting a dent in my pocketbook!

I have always wanted a Coach bag but can't justify spending that much money on a purse! Plus, my husband would kill me...lol. This one screams BUY ME! The Madison embossed exotic carryall in pink...ooh lala! I love the hint of crocodile print and that it's not super overdone. I'm in ^.
The price??? $598....in my dreams for sure.

This one is just classic coach style to me, and could go with practically everything. LOVE it! Oh to live in handbag heaven!

What purse would you buy if you had the dough?

Wishful Wednesday- Wedding

This weeks Wishful Wednesday is on wedding dresses.
I loved mine and I wish I had pictures on this computer but I don't. I have no "I wishes" about my wedding dress since I have been there done that and I wouldn't change a thing. So I thought I'd show you some dresses I were to wish for if I was getting married today.

I love designer Simone Carvalli, the dresses are just gorgeous! I love the ruffles on this one.

Loving the bottom of this one!! I found it really sad that when I was looking at the wedding dresses that about 90 percent of them are tube top. Horrible! My cousin had a tube top dress and she was tugging at it all day, wedding gowns are so heavy how the heck are you supposed to keep it up?! Sometimes a girl just needs sleeves, but other than that they are beautiful.

I like the silver touch to the first one. The ruffled high collar on the 2nd pic is classy. The cap sleeves on the third picture are perfect- that's how my dress was. And the fourth one I love all the detailing. So those are my picks for wedding dresses of the now.
If you could wish for a wedding gown what would yours look like?#

Wishful Wednesday

It's that time again, I know I'm a little late but better late than never! This weeks Wishful Wednesday is.....

'I wish' .... I could play a character's role in a book and it would be Clare
in Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffeneger.

The book was good although, I really didn't feel the sometimes crude detail was necessary. I felt at times I was reading a cheap romance novel. I think for once I liked the movie better. But anyway, I think it is such an interesting story line and amazing to imagine if that were so. To be the wife of a time traveler would be exciting, scary, and sometimes lonely all at the same time. Clare is so in love and he is all she really knows. I think it would be quite an adventure.

Who's character role would you play?^

Wishful Wednesday- Blonde or Brunette?

Kelseys still on vacay sooo ♪here I go again on my own, do doo♫. This weeks wishful Wednesday I decided it would be fun to ask,
If you could wish for a hair color other than your own what color would you choose?

Why did I decide upon hair color?? Well...you see it all sort of started when I was watching Greys, yes that rockin show that we all know and LOVE! # If you don't....I suggest you get hooked now.# Anywhoo, in the most recent episode Lexie Grey comes on with a whole new look.

Instead of her mousy brown hair she is platinum blond, and I think she looked pretty darn good as a blond. It got me thinking....we all know I am a girl who is constantly changing her mind about her hair. What color would I choose, probably blond. I've always wanted to do something drastic like that but haven't had the guts to bleach it in whole. For one- bleach is just BAD for your hair! Two- would it be worth it? I can't say whether I too will jump off the deep end like Lexie and go blond but it's fun to get lost in wishful thinking.

So what hair color would you go for? Blond, Brunette, Redhead?^

Wishful Wednesday- TV Role

Kelsey over at Seattle Smiths is out of town on a vacation she is the creator of Wishful Wednesday. So I decided to come up with my own since I can't seem to function without one. #

This weeks wishful wednesday topic is if you could steal a role from a television show (cancelled or currently on air) to play what would it be?

I would choose to play Jennifer Garners role on Alias. I LOVED this show, the idea of being an undercover government agent with all those crazy fun costumes and roles seemed like such an awesome adventure to me! This is one show that goes down in the record books for me. Did I mention how much I ^ women playing kick ace roles? I see a preview for a show or movie that involves a woman kicking butt I'm all over it! This is why I'm an Angelina Jolie fan. lol.

Now Tell me who's TV role would you steal?

Wishful Wednesday Grammys

Wishful Wednesday....Spotlight Grammy Performance! Sadly I did not get to watch the Grammys we have no cable due to personal decision but I do get to watch my fave shows online. I watched the most clips I could of the grammys online. If I could steal someones spotlight performance at the Grammys it would be Beyonces!

I LOVE her!! I have always loved her from her old days in Destinys Child to now, how could you not love her? She is gorgeous, and is taking the music industry by storm. This girl is truly on top of the world, and proved that by taking 6 grammy wins. I am a hip hop junkie so I would love to spend a day in her shoes.

Who's grammy performance would you steal the spotlight from?

Wishful Wednesday

I found a new fun blogger, check her out here: Wishful Wednesday She does wishful wednesday over at her place, and I decided to get in on the action.
This weeks wish is....if you could spend 3 minutes in someone elses shoes who would it be?
After contemplating the endless possibilities, I found it extremely difficult to pinpoint just one. I decided to choose Victoria Beckham.

You may be thinking WHY?? For one: I would LOVE to know her workout routine! LOL!
2: She's rich and famous! A nanny, chef, housekeeper, personal shopping, access to every clothing line imaginable....need I go on!
3: She's drop dead gorgeous, and her husband looks like Kurt to me- so naturally I think he's gorgeous too!

Now I want to know, if you could spend 3 minutes in someone elses shoes who it would be?
