Our Halloween 2011

We spent our Halloween down in Valencia ith our good friends the Gunsons. They had a small gathering of people and a whole lot of delicious mexican food. We took the kids trick or treating, ate, gabbed, and watched A Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a great night! Poor Maddox kept having coughing fits but he was such a trooper and he definitely got the most loot of the kids for the night. People kept commenting on how adorable he was, he was really working the magic to get the loot. ha ha.

Leighton Meester Concert

Last night my awesome husband watched the babies for me so I could attend a concert in Beverly Hills/Santa Monica area with my good friend Jenna. I had heard about it on Twitter and bought tickets right away. Leighton Meester, for those who don't know, stars on the tv show Gossip Girl and the movie Country Strong along with a couple others. Yes, I admit I am a fan of Gossip Girl. I love it actually and Leightons character is probably my fave. Her love of Audrey Hepburn movies show she's a girl after my own heart. Anyway, she has started to dabble in the music biz and she has a beautiful voice. You can get an inkling of her voice on Country Strong where she sang all her own songs. This concert was different than the music you can find of hers on the net, she has some country songs and some pop songs but this show was more acoustic music. Totally loved it! She played with a band called Check in the Dark who were also awesome. It was fun to go with a girlfriend, Jenna is a fun girl and we always have a good time together.

Bootcamp Night Out

I have been meaning to put this on my blog for about a month now. Obviously I am a little slow. %^ A month or so ago we had a bootcamp night out, I like to do these every now and then to give us ladies a chance to get out without our children. It's always lots of fun and great to let us get to know eachother a little better. This round of our night out we went to Olive Garden for dinner and gab. I love hanging with these ladies. It's nice to have great friends to workout with and support eachother.
FYI- 2 of the ladies in this photo are pregnant and still come to bust a move! Now that's what I call strength.
The girl on the left 5th one down in the back is JoElle, she has been coming to my bootcamp since we started out in the parking lot of our church building in the middle of summer. Dedication. She is also Alainas preschool teacher and we just love her!
All of these girls are so funny, and I'm pretty sure we laughed all those calories off. $Love you Girls!

Old Friends

Have you ever been in one of those moods where all you can think about is old friends? Friends that you've either lost contact with, don't talk to enough, or just haven't seen for a while. Today I am in one of those moods. I am missing my friends. A girl needs her friends, I do have my hubby but girlfriends are a very different thing. They know your perspective, they feel what you feel. So this is a shout out to my friends:

P.S. Yesterday I dyed my hair and I am loving it. Today I am putting a glaze on it to bring it out a little bit more so I won't post pictures of it until tomorrow. #
