HONESTLY....... the things we go through! We do so much more to our bodies than these men ever have to! Of course some things we don't HAVE to do, but we do them anyway to keep ourselves looking good. If you've ever recieved the funny email about the bikini waxing you know what I am talking about. I was thinking about that email today while I went through my very first experience of the same nature. Thankfully I was smarter and went to a spa to do it but still! (not so fun) Oh man......then I got to thinking about all the things we do! We birth those monsters, I mean babies (my first was a monster). LOL!! Then we wax our eyebrows and more, or shave ya know. We do so much upkeep!! What do the men have to do? comb their hair, shave their face once in a oblivion, shower?!
You know what thank you Heavenly Father for making me a woman, and for giving me experiences that remind me just how strong I am! Poor guys.......... I guess we just need to remind them of their strength. LOL!!!
(This blog is not in anyway meant to hurt the male ego- it is purely for a good laugh on my part and yours.) ha ha ha ha ha

Thoughts to inspire
Alot of times I get so frustrated with the struggles of being a stay at home Mom. I feel sometimes that I am unappreciated and what I do is so small in the scheme of things. Then I come across words like these that remind me of the task at hand, and how I am of worth. I am reminded that my Heavenly Father has trusted me with His children and it is my duty to uphold my part in His plan. Here is a quote from "I am a Mother" by Jane Clayson Johnson:
"Is it any wonder, then, that we struggle as mothers to see our own worth? Satan has found a willing partner in the world to blind us and distract us with so many other "worldy endeavors" that we forget that motherhood is the most worthwhile venture of all. Satan must love it when this happens, swooping down with haste to sway our moods, and tempt our souls! President Thomas S. Monson has said, "Occasionally discouragement may darken our pathway; frustration may be a constant companion. In our ears [we may hear]...Satan as he whispers, "You cannot save the world; your small efforts are meaningless "........The truth - that motherhood is a noble, even heroic occupation-- is revealed in the same quiet but penetrating voice the Lord use to reveal his power to the Nephites. It was "not [in] a voice of thunder" but through a "still voice of perfect mildness, as if it had been a whisper, and it did pierce even to the very soul" (Helaman 5:30)"

Mothers day

I want to be postive but it was not the greatest day ever. We went to Bakersfield and Frazier to visit our families. It was nice being able to spend time with everyone. It probably would have been better if we were healthy. Traveling with kids is not really fun......add sickness on top of it all and your in for one awful time! Poor Alaina was so sicky, she had a cold that we all had but she also had pink eye on top of it. All of us had this cold though. It seems that we just keep getting sick, because Emmitt keeps getting sick! It's making me crazy!!
Anyway back to the main subject: Saturday was the best day out of the weekend. We went to my Moms and hung out with the fam a little before they left for my grandmas. Then we headed to El Tejon to watch Isaacs game, and off to the shillig farm to spend time with the fam till sunday afternoon. Saturday night we went to a fun little swing dance in the community w/ the parents. That was porbably the most fun we had. Then sunday we went to church with the famiyl and tried to hang in there through to lunch time. The poor babies didn't really sleep so we didn't sleep much either. But it could have been worse, so I am grateful for the time we had together. Here are a few pics from Sunday! Love ya!

This is FUN!!!
OK......I am having way too much fun with this blogging thing. LOL!! It's like midnight I just opened this whole account about 10 min ago and already three posts! :)
Anyway.......let's talk about exercise! Oh my goodness. Soooo......I have come to realize that what I thought was hard work before is soooooo much more work now. After having babies it is definitely much more work to keep your body in shape, or should I say GET back into shape. (lol) Luckily I seem to be one of those anal people that stress over it and can get myself going back into the swing of things. Probably thanks to my overwhelming passion for dance and my new found love for kicking some booty. (In other words------TAE-BO!!!) I just started about a month ago Tae-Bo and I am now completely obsessed! I LOVE IT!!!!!! (love the results even more) So I dedicate this blog to mister Billy Blanks, thank you from one recovering mommy of two! Your workout program rocks!! LOL!!

Mom of Two
Sometimes I begin to wonder why?! Why did I jump right into the mix of family life and quickly have these two children? But those moments are such small gaps in time. I am very grateful to be a Mom! Yes, there are those stressful moments where you just think why can't you just listen?! LOL!! But I definitely feel very blessed. What a wonderful gift my Heavenly Father has given me to be blessed with these beautiful children. To know that He trusts me with these sweet spirits. :)
Mothers Day makes me feel grateful for this and grateful to my own Mom. I now can fully appreciate her and the things that she did for me.
“There is a point where you aren't as much mom and daughter as you are adults and friends.
It doesn't happen for everyone -- but it did for Mom and me."-- Jamie Lee Curtis
In closing of this entry I would like to share a quote that I absolutely love about being a mother.
"Before you were conceived I wanted you. Before you were born I loved you. Before you were here an hour I would die for you. This is the miracle of love.” -Maureen Hawkins
