Emmitt absolutely LOVES the camera!! He's just one big ham I guess. We were a little bored while Alaina was taking her nap so we decided to play with the camera, here are the results of our picture taking.

I just thought this was so cute! She was laughing so hard!! She kept grabbing onto my legs and I started acting like she scared me and she was cracking up! I had to share this video!

After Bath playtime

These are just a couple pics I took of the kids yesterday after Alainas bath and just before emmitt had his. I still am not brave enough to put them in the bath together! Emmitt just gets way too crazy in the tub, I'm afraid Alaina will get pummeled!

Pigtails!!

Oh I am so excited....I can put pigtails in Alainas hair now!! They are tiny ones but I just think she looks so dang cute!

Our Leak

Oh goodness!! So we found that we have aleak in the upstairs master bath. It's actually coming from the ceiling above my sink in the corner of our bathroom. They came and fixed the leak today but we had a good amount of damage to our ceiling so they also sent a guy in to cut that part out and remove all the insulation that was there because it was all wet and getting moldy. So now it's a huge mess!! We can't go in our bathroom till Friday when they come back to put the new ceiling in. Until then they have plastic over the bughole and a maching running that takes all the moisture that is up there and converts it into water and then drains it out. Good thing is that the builders warranty is still in effect so we don't have to pay for it!

Changes

July 10th-----Today is my Moms birthday! Kurt and I called her three way to wish her a happy birthday. But besides the fact that today is my moms birthday, today has also been a day of noticeable changes in my kids. Emmitt, for example, went poo poo in the potty for the first time today on his own! Very Exciting because I now can see the light at the end of the tunnel! He felt on his own that he needed to go and that was quite an accomplishment for him! Potty Training is so frustrating and I now feel like maybe we won't be doing this till he's 5...lol! It was pretty funny though because he was incredibly confused. Most of the time he has gone poo poo in his pants and he gets in trouble for it, so I think he associated getting in trouble with pooping in general. He was completely freaking out like he thought he was going to get a spank or something. It was kinda sad but funny also....:(
I had him call Kurt to tell him and he was crying on the phone after a while he finally got it. Poor guy!
Alaina has become such a big little girl! It's funny when you have your first child you notice every little change right away, but with her since she's the second it's harder to tell cause I am so distracted by emmitt too. We were playing on the floor the other day while emmitt was sleeping and it struck me how smart she is. I just always think of her as such a little baby, but she's not that little I mean she'll be one in a month! She was giggling so cute and playing peek a boo around a corner in our home. Then today I realized what a little diva she can be....lol! We were in the car running errands and she started getting mad so I pulled aside to make her a bottle, well most of the time once she sees that I am making it for her she calms down. This time she calmed down for a little bit then started jibber jabbering in an almost yelling kind of tone. Like "Mommy a little faster...hello!" It was pretty funny! And she likes to throw herself down now to, not that she's walking or anything, but she'll be sitting and she throws herself around and onto the ground and rolls in a huff. Hilarious now but won't be soon! I learned that a while ago.
There were new and exciting changes for me today too! I went to go buy some new jeans cause all of mine haven't been fitting very well, and I was pleasantly surprised! I grabbed a pair of 4's and low and behold they fit so perfectly!! I started doing a little dance in the fitting room! So the hard work does pay off no matter how annoying it is to get to that point! Believe me I hate that hard work! Anyway just thought I'd let everyone know the changes our little family is going through. I wish I could post more pics of Kurt, I feel like they are all of me and the kids but he is a busy man! Love you all!

Fourth of July

Well I feel bad because I completely forgot my camera on the fourth and didn't get any pics of the kids in their cute outfits! Oops! But we had fun! We actually left the ngiht before to go spent time with the family. Kurt spent the night with Emmitt at his parents and spent the fourth there, and I went to my Moms with Alaina. I was so excited to spend some time with my family, I haven't seen them at all lately. I was sad that Kurt and I couldn't spend the time together but I didn't want to deprive him of having fun with his family too! Emmitt had a blast with his daddy! They played in the neighbors pool and went to a pancake breakfast. Alaina and I didn't arrive at my Moms till 2 am! Aaahhh!! And Alaina is definitely a bit different than Emmitt in that if she's not at home she does not sleep well! So we had a rough night. But she made up for it in her nap on the fourth. I spent the day going shopping with my Mom and hanging with my brother and his girls. I love seeing them, my nieces are so dang cute!!
To fill in the gap that was left in my previous blog, my Mom went through a health scare recently. She had some tests done and they thought it could be cancer so as most of you can understand I was a little on edge. But things came out negative so we're good now! Hopefully nothing like that will happen again anytime soon! So I don't have pics from the fourth but I have some from this morning the 6th that I will post. Today was a strange day for me! I have had in the past some crazy migraine episodes with my eyes going fuzzy and my body numbing. And today it happened to start up again while I was out running errands. I am hoping it was just due to the heat and being dehydrated. But we'll find out soon enough. If it happens again soon then I will go get some stuff checked out. It's wierd cause when I had them before it was when I was prego with emmitt. Don't worry....that's not the case here! I have an IUD people...don't get any ideas! LOL!! Ok well I better get this boy to bed......until next blog.
