One Year Shots...ouch!

Poor Alaina had to go in a get her one yr shots today! She got four, 2 in each leg! It went well though I just held her like normal and the nurse stuck em in. She just buried her head in my shoulder and cried! It's so sad everytime I have to take them in for the shots. I just wanted to share some pics of her playing with her cabbage patch doll. I think she was trying to be the doctor...lol!

Lazy Weekend

Oh this weekend was sooo nice to say the least! Kurt was able to be home saturday and sunday!! (which is so rare!) We pretty much just layed around and played with the kids! Emmitt and Alaina were overjoyed to have so much daddy time! They just clung to him! We took the kids to the park sunday afternoon to take a break from the tv! LOL!! Alaina had so much fun and so did Emmitt! Alaina is so active now it's so funny to watch! She's never really been to the park but as soon as I put her on that slide she just knew exactly what to do! She did a little scoot and down she went all by herself! It's so fun to see them grow and how quickly the second one learns by the example of the elder! What can I say....family is such a joy!

Saturday Party for Alaina

Ok so sorry there has not been an update in while, things have been hectic! The Saturday party went great and it was so wonderful to see the family that did come down! We had way too much food and fun.....but that's a good thing!! Alaina loved her gifts and playing with all the kids! We kind of had a kid fiesta going on because of our neighbors who came with their children and my nieces! All in all it was a fun shindig! Thank you to all that made the trek out! The pictures aren't that fantastic cause there were alot of kids up in the mix! Hopefully I'll get the pics my Mom took fairly soon so I can share those!

Alaina's Birthday- 8/15/07

Today was Alaina's first birthday! We're having a party for her Saturday but I really wanted her to have a little cupcake and a small little recognition the day of. It was sorta sad just because Kurt had to work a long day so he couldn't be here the day of her birthday. We pretty much went about the day as normal and before I gave the kids baths and put them to bed we sang and gave them both cupcakes. It hit me when I started singing Alaina happy birthay how sad it was that Kurt wasn't home. (singing by yourself can do that I guess..lol) But he is working hard to provide for us and he'll be there for the main shindig Saturday! I'll post pics of the party once it happens! For now I just wanted you all to see how cute she is and how excited she was for her birthday!

Emmitt & Alaina Photos

These are the photos of Emmitt and Alaina together that I took at Babies R Us along with the first birthday ones of her. I am so glad that I got some done of the two of them together, they turned out so cute! They were both so good during photo time. So in my previous blog I told you I showed up early but I didn't tell you this story....
So when we first came down to get the pics done Emmitt was not wearing the sweat pants that he's wearing in these pics. He had on some nice cute jean shorts. Right when it was time to go in we pulled up to the store and I got Alaina out and put her in the cart. Then I opened up Emmitts door to pull him out and there he is standing there ready to come out and PEEING all over my truck floor!!!! PERFECT TIMING! I was so mad! Figures huh?! Just when you think everything will be ok something like that happens. He's been so good about going on the potty forever too and of course right then is when he has an accident! LOL!!! So I ran in the store and prayed they would have something that fit him. (of course I didn't have extra clothes with me) They don't have toddler sizes there so I found the biggest size there which was 48 mos and they fit thank goodness. At least I got a good story out of it! Emmitt was all excited to take pics though. Alaina did her b-day shots first and then I changed her and they did their photos together. The whole time she was doing her photos he kept telling me "My turn Mommy, my turn". That boy loves the camera!

Alaina's First Birthday Photos

So yesterday 8/13 I made an appt for Alaina to get her portraits done for her first birthday on Wednesday 8/15. We arrived way too early! I had to go to Rancho Cucamonga to get them done because I love getting her photos done at Babies r us. They do such a good job! I thought it would take me a lot longer to get downthere then it actually did. So we arrived two hrs early, I started getting nervous that she would be grumpy by the time we took the photos. We went in and signed in for our appt but they wouldn't let us do it early so I bought a few things for her while I killed some time (some cute new outfits). But still had an hour and a half to waste. I needed her to nap before her pics so she would be happy so I wound up driving in circles on the freeway to get her to sleep till her appt time! LOL!! It worked out great and she was such a good girl for the lady taking the pics! It was super easy to get her to smile, she was laughing the whole time! I can't believe she's already one!

Emmitt & Alaina

Here are some recent pics of the kiddos! I love these pics of Emmitt because this just shows his true personality coming through on film! LOL!! He's crazy!! And Alaina just look oh so pretty! I keep telling Kurt that the older Alaina gets the more I see him in her. I think she looks more like him than Emmitt.

It's so sad to me how little pics I have of Kurt and I together! I really need to snap pics whenever he is home I guess. So on Sunday I thought about that and told him we needed to snap some pics of just the two of us! I love them!
