Back from the Twilight zone and ready to stop procrastinating this blog. Wow sort of fell off the face of the Earth there for a while. It's good to be back, I have so much to catch up on now the question is can I do it? The task of updating the blog seems a bit daunting but I will make an effort. The longer I take to do it the more difficult it seems, thanks to friends and family for encouraging me to jump back on the bandwagon. I left you all hanging there. lol. Well ALOT has happened since Alainas birthday, so make sure you check back often as I have a ton of posting to do! For those who did not get the memo we moved! Yup. Hi Ho Hi Ho Back to the mountain we go. Moving back to Frazier was definitely not our first choice; but then again we are not the ones in charge, God had other plans and it seemed Frazier was where we needed to be. Leaving Canyon Country was very difficult! We LOVED our ward and all our friends there. Being so close to everything is definitely where I like to be so moving back was quite a challenge all the way around. Moving into a home from a condo was really nice.
(Our new house)
(Psst...I made this address sign in case you get lost in the forest when you come and visit).
(Our front door, getting ready for Halloween!) We spent 3 days beforehand painting, long nights on that project! It turned out beautifully. I chose a grey and vintage blue for the downstairs interior. Outside of the home, we all had issues adjusting. The main adjustment came when it was time to go to church. The ward here is quite different and the kids were not thrilled about the way things were run. Emmitt was the most upset, one Sunday he broke down and cried, so did I. But we are finding our groove and things are looking up.
(This is how Maddox chose to roll while we were moving)
I had to quit my bootcamp, driving down to Valencia 3 days a week for free wasn't going to work. So I continued my zumba classes through Curves and hoped something would come my way. I am the type of person that needs something outside the home or I go loopy! The kids started school and LOVE it! Alaina is in kindergarten, Emmitt is in first, and Maddox is enjoying some Mom time. We were very pleased to see Alainas teacher for the year would be Mrs. Penner! We requested her when we found out she was a kindergarten teacher, Kurts family has known theirs for a while and we adore Mrs. Penner. Needless to say, Alaina never wants to leave her class. Emmitt has Mrs. Hon who we also are very pleased with. They both are doing amazing, and Emmitt has become quite the little reader! I'm happy to say that my doubts about the school system are gone and I feel very happy with the way things are going for my babies.
(First day of school 2011)
In need of some extracurricular activities, we signed Alaina up for dance. YAY!! I am so glad that she loves dance just as much as I do, I don't know what I'd do if she didn't want to dance. I was so happy to find that they had a studio open up here. The last time we lived here on the mountain the studio closed just as we were leaving. The studio here is called In the Wings of dance and I LOVE it! I am so pleased with the classes and can't wait for the recital. While taking my daughter to dance I realized that the studio offers adult classes like yoga and what not. **LIGHTBULB!!** HERE'S my opportunity! The other great thing was that I know one of the owners and adore her. So ideas were discussed, and I will be starting zumba there next month!
In fear of boring you to death, I will close this post, and feel free to check back later for some fun events we've had. It's good to be back...Here are some first day of school videos for your enjoyment.
Good to hear how things are going!!! I'm excited you get to go to Florida but I am sooo sad we won't get to see you and visit since I actually have that weekend off! Next time!!!!! Hope everything works out with your Zumba class and I'll bet money you'll be starting up a bootcamp sooner than later! I think that is awesome.
glad you're back, I've been kinda out of the loop too! Glad your move went well, your new place looks cute! Glad also to hear about the Zumba opportunity. I still think you'd be great at Arbonne! ....haha shameless plug.. but really I think we should talk when you have a few mins.
You'll have to post videos of Alaina's dance. I've been taking a cardio hip hop class that's so much fun, you'd love it!
