Time to Ride

Today was kind of a dull day, so we decided to go play in the front yard. I took some pics of the kids while we were out. It seems like my camera takes way better pics outside rather than inside. The above pic is a classic Alaina look. I have to be sneaky to take pics of her. When she sees me with the camera she stares at the ground or runs away. This little car is so small for Emmitt now but he still loves it! This was his first little ride on toy that he got when he turned one, his fave thing to do now with it is ride it down the driveway! Alainas started running now to keep up with Emmitt, she has a tendency to run on her tip toes half of the time. It's so cute watching her try to keep up but also a bit scary that she's going to fall flat on her face. This is definitely Emmitts fave thing to do! As soon as he's old enough he'll get a real bike just like his Dad!And....Alainas fave thing to do?? Talk on the phone, which is pretty funny because I am definitely not a phone person!

Girls just wanna have fun

Here's a couple pics I took of Alaina and I playing in the living room. I just love having a daughter! I can't wait till she gets older and we can talk about all the girly stuff together! She is just too precious. Some of them she didn't really want to cooperate, the ones of us together mainly. She wants to see the pic from the other side of the camera before it's even taken!

Whistle while you Work

Today was a fun filled day of mini tasks around the house. Kurt was scheduled to do one job but the lady had called and cancelled as he was heading down, so he got a nice day off for the week. We've been wanting to put racks that are built into the ceiling in the garage for storage that's out of the way so he decided to work on that today. I took advantage of the extra help watching the kids and did some cleaning and organizing. I swear it's easier to get stuff done when you have an extra set of eyes on the little ones! Anyway I realized that we don't have many pictures together so I snapped a few while he was working away.
Emmitts been right there by his daddys side. I asked him what he was doing and he told me, "I just helping daddy do this, K Mommy?!" He is getting to be such a big helper! He's starting to pull out of tantrum mode and is getting smarter everyday!Alaina is starting to talk a little more. She says mama and thank you and bye-bye, and tries to say a few more things. I think her favorite word is yeah, anything you ask her that's her response. Hey it's a heck of a lot better than no! LOL!! She also got this thing off of Surfs Up the tongue out spit noise, I guess that's how you could describe it. Anyway if you've seen the movie you'll know but she does it all the time it's pretty hilarious! Other than that she twirls and and dances (it's in the genes ya know), and tries to keep up with the big kids. Things are great and we can't wait to see the family come November!

Busy, Busy, Busy

It has definitely been a while since my last post! It seems like there is way too much to do these days. Lots of errands and millions of tasks! Kurts been home for a week too so it's been nice to just spend time together. We went to Disneyland with the kids while he was off and we drove up to Monterey to visit Larkie and Seth and their new baby girl Jordan. The kids had lots of fun at Disneyland, we went on the nw Finding Nemo submarine ride and it was really cute. The drive to Monterey was long but well worth it to see Larkie and her beautiful baby! Holdng Jordan just made me realize just how big my kids are! It's so funny how quick you forget aout how tiny they are when their newborn! They get big so fast!! We're all doing well here and I'll update more later when I've got the time for now I'm off to get these kids in bed!
