Wanted to share some of these cute pics I took of Alaina the other day and a few other random ones. She's getting so big! What a little lady! Eliana is staying w/ us for the week while Lark is in UT to help out Jake and Caroline. She loves to help and play w/ emmitt. This is a pic of the 2 of them tonight. They fell asleep while watching a movie together! So cute!In this pic Alainas saying cheese. I never really had to do that w/ Emmitt he's a such a ham when it comes to the camera. But with Alaina I have to tell her to look at the camera and say cheese even then, it doesn't work out so well sometimes!Kurt took this scary pic of me when I came home form the gym! I was a little crazy from my xenergy drink. (That's why it's 12 am while I am posting this...LOL!)

Funny Things...

I just have been noticing lately how funny Emmitt is getting w/ his communication. I wanted to share a few things that have happened recently that I just think are hilarious! He's just getting too smart and some of the things that come out of his mouth just astonish me! Ok so first thing: He's had this rash which we found out is a yeast infection combined w/ a small bacterial infection. Yuck huh?! Anyway I have to put this ointment on him twice a day to get rid of it. The other night before he goes to bed I'm putting this ointment on when all of a sudden he just blurts out: "Mommy I'm going to pee on you" I just started laughing and quickly got him to the toilet cause he really had to pee!
Then the other night Kurt and I were playing this xbox scene it game, and I am a little better at it because I retain alot of stupid pop culture info. Plus I've seen a ton of movies like old ones that Kurt hasn't. So I am beating him pretty good. Kurt tells Emmitt, "Man son we suck!" Emmitts response: "No Dad...YOU suck!" LOL!! It was soooo funny, and yes maybe he shouldn't be saying that word which he was told after the fact but his face when he responded was just too funny!
One of his fave things to say now is "I'm gonna shoot you in your dang eye, in your da-gumm eye!" He got it off of Night at the Museum. He gets in these strange let's watch an adult movie kicks! He'll just randomly want to watch one over and over again. Spiderman, then Transformers, now Night at the Museum.
He also likes to be Alaina's comforter. When Kurt is at work and Alaina gets in trouble for doing something she's not supposed to, he tells her "ohhh come her princess", and hugs her. And then they both just glare at me like I'm evil while they hug eachother..........LOL!! Tonight the kids were playing upstairs for a while in Emmitts room and went to check on them. I came in and asked him what they were doing, he said, "We're just playin. Now get out of here, we're just playing" He wants to grow up a little too fast! What can a Mom do?!

It's Crunch Time!

"Ahhh Shoot!" So the nervousness has set in! I got my study materials Saturday and let me just say....YIKES! It's definitely more involved than I had orignally thought, but I won't let myself get too discouraged. I'll just do my best to work it out! I've learned quite a bit of cool info though! The book is very informative about the body. Good thing is that if I pass the physical exam and not the written, I can come back and retake just the written exam and not have to pay as large a fee as the original one. Note to self: BREATHE! lol.

Sooooo SORE!!!

Aye Carumba! I am sooooo incredibly sore right now! I've been working my butt off, trying to get ready for this thing in feb. My instructor got me a trainer to help me and he's been kicking my butt! I've been working out everyday for at least 2 hrs, and sometimes I do 2 classes. Oye Vey! What doesn't kill you makes u stronger right?! LOL!! I've been working w/ the trainer mainly on toning. So the weights are making me walk like an old lady.............lol!!! Anyway just wanted to vent about my exhaustion!

New news!

I am so excited I just have to share! Some of you know that I have been interested in being an aerobics instructor for quite some time. I thought that in order to do so at a gym doing the group class I would have to do P.E. in college and get a semi degree. Anyway this morning I went to my boxing class, (which is probably my fave), and spoke to the instructor about the how to of getting what I want. She told me that all that's required is a certification course. Meaning a one day event with fee, cpr certified, and 2 exams (one written and the other on class demo). So the course will be feb 10th for me in LA to get my instructors license!! Then from there I will be teaching with my boxing instructor at LA fitness for a while, and she plans to open her own studio where I would go and teach. Sorry for the long drawn out sentences but I thought I should explain....LOL!! Fitness Instruction here I come!! I am very excited about this and plan to do everything to get there! It's great too because it's mainly for my enjoyment rather than income, and it's a one day a week thing so the sahm thing can continue! Woo-HOO!! Wish me luck on my group course, i'll update after feb 10th on the subject!

Attached at the hip (both hips) LOL!! I just thought I'd share this photo with everyone. This is a daily thing at my home when Kurt has a day off. My kids become completely attached to him. Right before the pic was taken Kurt had been sitting on the couch with Emmitt watching a movie. Alaina decided she was done w/ that particular movie and shut it off, so Kurt got up to fix the situation. As soon as Kurt tries to move away from the kids they immediately have to follow. Thus Emmitt sitting on Kurts shoulders in the pic! LOL!! Poor Kurt can't get a sec to himself when he's home, but I'm sure he doesn't mind. This pic is from later that night playing xbox. Emmitt has to have a controller too that way he can feel like he's playing right along with his Daddy. I love that they love him so much, it just shows what a great father he is! And no wonder their so attached, he's a big ol kid himself.

A New Year

2008- Can't believe it's already a new year! This past year flew by so fast, and the kids keep growing! I wish I could stop time for a while and keep them as babies. Emmitts going to be 3 in just 2 mos! And Alaina is becoming her own independent person, it's hard to get her to cuddle with me anymore! Man she has become quite the little "drama queen" too! The girl is full of drama and very different from her brother. Kurt and I were commenting the other day about how she has had less tumbles than Emmitt had. At her age Emmitt had a new bump and bruise everyday! She is so much more cautious, it's the "lady" in her! LOL!!
I am looking forward to this new year and hoping to make some progress on some of my goals. I hope to get our food storage situation in order and budget a little better. I also hope to be diligent in my workout throughout the entire year. I don't think i will have problems with it though. It's become a habit this past year so when I don't I feel I've gained a ton even though it's really been just a day or two. LOL!! Kinda psychotic huh?! Hopefully Kurt and I can get in some snowboarding time before the winters through! I am definitely looking forward to that! It seems like I've been prego everytime winters come back around so it'll be nice to get some mtn time in! Maybe I can progress onto the normal hills...
As for the fam we're doing great! Just trying to keep it together thru the slow period of Kurts work and make it through to summer! We hope this year finds all of you well!
