Suspect: Amy ------------ Accused of: Suspicious Behavior
The date was 8/26 when the apparent crime happened. Trying to be sneaky the suspect made an appt w/ her doctor to get her IUD taken out. Her mistake not telling her husband. She was trying to keep it a secret to surprise him. She told him she was having a routine checkup.....ha....a check-up she says! ☺ He started to notice peculiar behavior from her. She would get on the computer and quickly exit the screen when he came in the room.....very suspicious! Little did he know she was writing to her girlfriends on cafemom telling them the BIG surprise. Then came the big bang! On 8/28 Kurt couldn't take it anymore he thought she was up to no good. He was upset and Amy could tell. She tried to find out what the problem was and he explained his suspicions. In hopes that she could somehow save her drowning dream of a surprise she tried to brush his suspicions off but to no avale. She knew the only way she could rid his frustration was to tell him. So she let the cat out of the bag! While crying (due to frustration from having to let go of her surprise) she explained her big surprise and he was relieved. Verdict: Not guilty
That's right folks we are trying for a third!! We're both super excited to expand our little family. Emmitt is excited too. A cute conversation between Emmitt & Mommy:
Emmitt- "Mommy why you not making me a baby?"
Mommy- "I am going to be soon"
Emmitt- "Well I want a brother"
Mommy- "Oh really? What if you get another sister?"
Emmitt- "Mom if it's a brother....(whispering now) i get candy."
Mommy- "huh?"
Emmitt- (shouting now) "IF IT'S A BROTHER I GET CANDY!!!"
LOL!! Apparently he thinks a brother will be a treat or something. Kids say the darndest things. ♥

"Make it Burn!"
That's what I like to tell my class when it gets tough. Mercy mercy me, life sure is getting busier! Emmitt starts preschool next week! I'm so excited for him, he asks me everyday if he can go to school now. ☺ so cute. He'll be going Tuesdays & Thursdays to Miss Chanelle. We got him a little backpack (even though it wasn't quite necessary) he loves it and it made him that much more excited for school. He's going to have lots of church friends there to play with.
My schedule has become just a little hectic. Picked up some new classes and I'm having fun. Just wish gas was a little less with my guzzler. Here's an idea of what I've got:
Monday- Bootcamp (Yucaipa Gym) 6pm
Tuesday- Boxing (LA Fitness) 8:30 am
Wednesday- Aqua (LA Fitness) 9 am
&
church hip hop class 7 pm
Thursday- church bootcamp 9am (probably going to have to change to accommodate for school)
Friday- TKB turbo kickboxing (Yucaipa Gym) 5am
So as you can see I'm just a bit busy!! With preschool starting Kurt will be starting later days on Tuesdays to be able to drive Emmitt to school since I have class early. Kurts still keeping busy with work. It's starting to slow down though, we're hoping the work will hold out as long as possible to get us through winter. Life has certainly picked up the pace but we are loving every minute of it. Hope you all are doing well.♥

The Best of times is Family Time
Father Son
I love time spent together. Even when we've really done nothing at all, when we are all home and spending time together it's the best. This week I came down with a pretty bad cold, during the week I was down and out. I taught my church fitness group Thursday even though I wasn't feeling so hot. It went ok just not as well as it does when I am feeling 100%. Our ward planned a volunteer group for getting the word out about Prop 8. Kurt & I signed up to walk the neighborhood. Saturday we met with the rest of the committee at the local park and got all the info and lists. They were incredibly organized! We got a list of specific streets and the registered voters that lived on those streets. We grabbed what we needed and were on our way.
I got my first "tracting" experience...lol. They suggested we split up and work opposite ends of the street to save time, but we decided we just felt more comfortable sticking together. We ran to Walgreens real quick to get clipboards for all our info. The lady at the register saw our stickers on our tops and asked what's Prop 8? (yes, our first big encounter...lol) Kurt wittingly replied,"oh it's a law that would protect marriage between a man and a woman." She looked confused then said, "huh?" Again my "intelligent" husband replies..."it's against gays" "Oh" And....then Amy prayed for a big hole to swallow her up. ☺ Oh my goodness! As we walked out to our truck Kurt says, "Where was my script when I needed it?" LOL! We both burst out laughing. First encounter: failed miserably! (this story isn't meant to be offensive and I'm sorry if it comes out like that. I just think it's funny when we have those moments where we stick our foot in our mouth. Sometimes there's no thought process before we speak...lol)
We headed over to King Street which was our appointed route. The first home we went to the person named on our list didn't live there anymore. We tried talking to the lady there but she was not so receptive. We handed her the literature and were on our way. The day went pretty smooth. The majority of people that did answer the door were all for the proposition. Kurt spoke to everyone on the first block, and I recorded the info. Our q & a went like this:
-If the election were today would you vote definitely yes, probably yes, definitely no, or undecided?
-does your spouse agree?
-would you be willing to post a yard sign or help with the campaign?
At one of the homes I kind of started laughing at Kurt because he was so focused on the script. He challenged me and told me to step up to the plate and show him what to do. Thankfully the man I spoke to was all for the proposition and he was very easy to talk to. HA... take that! LOL!! We had fun joking around all day and spending time together. Kurt would do his NY accent a couple of times while walking up to a door rather loud just to embarrass me. It was nice to get back to us, felt like we were dating again. ♥ I would also like to say that I am not trying to discriminate against any group of people. I believe they should have rights too just not to the extent they are pushing for. I don't want it taught in schools to my children, and I don't believe that marriage should be ok for them. That also does not mean that I think these people are horrible people though.Old pic of Kurt & I but I just thought it was cute
Sunday we spent the day relaxing at home. Kurt made us breakfast, and we just played with the kids all day. We got to take a nice nap, and play games together. Weekends like these make the hard times that much easier. Mother Daughter

Let's Protect Marriage
I just wanted to share the info on Prop 8- I know that we can get caught up in life and maybe not know all the facts about some of our governments issues. I believe this is one that we cannot ignore! We need to take a stand and make the effort to protect our children and future generations. Let's protect marriage, if prop 8 is not passed the consequences will be detrimental.
Protect Marriage- Prop 8 Fact Sheet
Proposition 8 protects the people’s will and overturns activist judges.
In 2000 over 61% of Californians voted in favor of Proposition 22 to reaffirm that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California. However, because this language wasn’t put into the state Constitution when it was approved, four activist judges from San Francisco wrongly overturned the people’s vote. In November 2008, Proposition 8 gives California voters the opportunity to reverse the court’s decision and restore the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman in the state Constitution.
Proposition 8 is simple and straightforward.
Proposition 8 contains the same 14 words that were previously approved in 2000 by over 61% of California voters: “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.” By putting these words directly into the state Constitution, the court cannot strike them down as unconstitutional.
Proposition 8 is about preserving marriage; it’s not an attack on the gay lifestyle.
Proposition 8 doesn’t take away any rights or benefits from gay or lesbian domestic partners. Under California law, “domestic partners shall have the same rights, protections and benefits” as married spouses. (Family Code §297.5.) There are no exceptions to this. Proposition 8 will not change this.
Proposition 8 protects our children.
Proposition 8 protects our children from being taught in public schools that same-sex marriage is the same as traditional marriage. In health education classes, state law requires teachers to instruct children as young as kindergarteners about marriage. (Education Code §51890.) If the same-sex marriage ruling is not overturned, teachers will be required to teach young children that there is no difference between gay marriage and traditional marriage.
Proposition 8 protects marriage as an essential institution of society.
Proposition 8 protects marriage and the important role of a traditional family. While death, divorce or other circumstances may prevent the ideal, the best situation for a child is to be raised by a married mother and father.
YES on Proposition 8 does three simple things.
􀂃
It restores the definition of marriage to what the vast majority of California voters already approved and human history has understood marriage to be.
􀂃
It overturns the outrageous decision of four activist Supreme Court judges who ignored the will of the people.
􀂃
It protects our children from being taught in public schools that “same-sex marriage” is the same as traditional marriage.
Vote Yes on Proposition 8!

Guess Who...Just turned TWO??!
August 15th 2008- our little mama turned two! It's amazing how fast time flies by. We didn't do a big party or anything, but we did celebrate. I had just wrapped her gifts when she came downstairs bright eyed and bushy haired...lol. She went straight to her gifts, picked one up and said, "Ohhhh burt-day" It was so cute. We let her open her presents since there really was no stopping her at that point. She got a graco Baby doll stroller, a pots and pan playset, and a color wonder coloring book. Later in the day we stopped at the Gymboree Outlet and got her 3 new cute outfits. She was so serious when she was opening her gifts. This face and one with her tongue out were her signature looks while opening her gifts.
These color wonder things are awesome, who would've ever imagined coloring could evolve so much in these past years? These markers are clear unless you draw on the special books that come with them. Perfect for my little artist! Every chance she gets she tries to bring some color to my white walls. We spent the morning playing and making cute visors like the one in the first pic. We bought those foam visors and decor at Walmart, they made for a crafty morning. (a inexpensive craft too)☺
"All set to go Mom!"
We then got ready for swimming. Our babies love to swim so we planned to go to a Palm Springs resort for a day of swimming, thanks to the timeshare program. It was so much fun, the kids had such a good time. They had a kids waterslide there that Emmitt & Alaina just kept going down over and over again. One of my greatest joys as a Mother is watching them play so well together. They would go down the slide at the same time holding hands and grinning from ear to ear. They are such great little swimmers! Kurt & the kiddies coming down the slide together---my hubbys lookin MIGHT-Y FINE!!☺ We spent a good 2 hrs swimming. The kids wouldn't leave the pool for anything, they just LOVED it! Alaina was doing so well with just her water wings on. The girl was Miss Independent. And Emmitt was just amazing me with his swimming ability.
Here they Come!!
After the pool we enjoyed some lunch at Rubys Diner, the kids were falling asleep while eating. Then we stopped off at Cabazon so I could pick up some outfits for Alaina. Once we got home we just vegged out. I got to work on Alainas cake. Pretty much every year I store buy the cake. This year I decided I wanted to attempt something fun. I decided on a daisy cake for Alaina.
It turned out soooo Yummy and pretty!! I had fun making it, I had laugh at myself though for going to all the trouble to make this cake and no one was really coming to appreciate it. But Kurt, the kids, and I enjoyed it.
It was such a fun birthday for her! So nice to spend time together and focus on the love of the family. She has become such a smart, sassy, and beautiful little 2 yr old. She always brings us joy, and she is still my little lovebug.-xo-

Weekend with Family
This weekend was tons of fun! Kurts family came down friday night to spend the wkend, and I headed up to my familys for the wkend. Kurt insisted I leave the babies so it was a nice break to get away on my own for a little while. (even though I missed them pretty much right off the bat) I left Friday late afternoon, and met up with my gf Mia. We headed to Victoria Gardens Mall in Rancho Cucamonga. We had dinner at Lucilles BBQ (mmmmmm....BEST tri tip ever!!) And we saw Pineapple Express at the movie theater there. (Soooo dang funny!!) I then headed for my Moms that night, I didn't get there till about midnight. We spent the wkend shopping, relaxing, and playing with my nieces. It was so nice to spend time with my parents, and my bro and sister. Everytime I go up there I wish we lived closer!! I miss my family often, and my nieces are growing so fast....I would love for our kids to be able to play together more. Anyway I headed back Sunday evening. Kurts fam had already left and was heading for Aunt Dana's, I was hoping they were coming back thru Valencia so we could meet up and I could see Larkie & cute Jordan!
Kurt went with the fam to a nearby timeshare where they just spent the day swimming. I was very impressed with the pics and video when I returned home. My little guy Emmitt is learning how to swim quite well!! And Alaina was just hanging out with her arm floaties, too cute. They had fun being together, Kurt kept telling me how adorable Jordan is and how she was crawling around everywhere. You definitely don't have to convince me of how cute Jordan is, that girl is so adorable!! It was a wkend full of fun for us all.
Monday came and I was very happy to hear that Kurt had taken the day off. (so rare lately that he has any days off) We went to breakfast and ran some errands. We rented 2 movies- Mama's Boy & Nims Island. Both we're entertaining and Kurt made dinner. (BIG shocker! I about fell over when he said he'd make dinner....do u know how to cook?? LOL!!) It was very yummy, and we spent the rest of the night cuddling and enjoying eachothers company.
Life has it's up's and down's.....sometimes it tends to feel more down then up but one thing will always remain, the love of your family. I am incredibly grateful for having such a loving, giving, family on both sides. I want our extended family to know how much I love them, and how grateful I am for their support and encouragement thru the tough times. We are truly blessed to have a loving Heavenly Father who cares for us and wants us to succeed as a family unit. I feel blessed to be a part of this BIG and incredibly loving family. -xo-

I was sick of trying to grow my hair out and desperately needed a change. I have always liked Victoria Beckhams bob, but haven't had the guts to do it as angled before. I decided to go for it! (let me feel in control of something!!) Soooo I LOVE it and my hairdresser did an amazing job! Check it out!

Crazy Little Gymnasts
Our children love to take apart the front room couch and play on the pillows. I think they both should be in gymnastics, they have no fear, they just go for it....as you can see. ☺
