I know I haven't updated in a while but life has been pretty busy lately. I am on the job hunt! Most of you know that Kurts work slows way down in the winter and this year it seems to have slowed down a lot sooner than expected. So I am on the hunt for a job to keep us going through these winter months. I do still work at the gyms but I don't make enough to bring home. I applied to 25 places in the last couple weeks, and most are not hiring at this time. I finally received some good feedback when I went over to the Cabazon Outlets. They are hiring for seasonal work since retail tends to pick up for thanksgiving and christmas. I interviewed over at Guess, which was probably the most fun interview I've had.
The interview was a group interview and the manager said she calls it more of an "audition" then an interview. They look for people that are outgoing and fun but also responsible. We had to answer a bunch of questions and we had to do this role play game. She presented us with situations that might arise throughout our work day and we had to basically act it out. Of course with my luck I was called as one of the first people to act it out. She told me that I would be the sales associate and the other girl is my customer. My customer has come into the store only to buy a pair of light wash bootcut jeans. My goal is to get her to the register w/ a bunch of items. So we start acting it out I welcome her to the store she tells me what she's looking for. I helped her find the jeans then I start trying to get her to buy some shirts that are on sale or try some other jeans that I thought would look great on her. LOL! It was pretty funny, the other girl was adamant about what she wanted. Anyway at the end of the interview the manager handed this little box over and told us to pick a paper out of it. The papers had numbers indicating which order we would go in for the next activity. We were told we had 2 mins to think up a skit or a commercial, a song, a dance, etc. The purpose was to show our personality and to stand out from the crowd.
I have to admit I was a little bit overwhelmed. But I just thought oh well let's do this. Most of the people said they didn't feel comfortable, other did skits or commercials of some kind. I had no clue what I was going to do. I got up and told them about my hip hop teacher from the gym and how she's the greatest booty shaker ever...lol. I told them how every class she turns on the Tambourine song and makes us booty shake for the whole song. And of course I showed them what I learned. ☺ Everyone was busting up laughing, it was fun! At the end of the interview I got a 2nd appt to come back.
I have also interviewed at Puma where they pretty much said I'm hired and told me they'd call when my paperwork to sign is ready. But I still have been searching. I want to go back to waitressing. I love how fast paced it is and just a fun social environment. I have applied to plenty of restaurants none of which were hiring. I was told by a friend to go back to Chilis here in town and ask for a manager to see if their hiring and not just ask the hostess. So yesterday I did that. The manager told me they are and gave me an app to fill out. I completed it, and they said it looked great and then gave me a test to complete. The math questions made me wish I was still in school...oh boy it's been a while. ☺ They processed the test and told me I passed and that I could come back for a formal interview Monday! So I may be a waitress again after all.
Our goal is to have Kurt work the days I have off and he'll be home w/ the kids while I work considering there's not much screen business coming in. You do what you have to do right? I'll continue to work the gyms since it's only an hour class anyway, and work won't be open at those times regardless. So that's my little update on my busy life. The kids are doing great! Sorry no pics our computers having issues so we have to take it in to get it cleaned out. The virus is affecting our kodak program so our pics are not loading. We hope everyones doing well! ♥

♫Shave & a haircut...6 pence♪
You know those kidism's that we all hear horror stories about? The crayon on the wall, the poop smearing, the dirt eating, etc. Well today one my not so fave kidism's came true, the one that I thought we wouldn't have an issue with. My kids love the draw on the walls thing, but never did I think they would want to play beauty salon. Oh yes that's right....the scissors have been compromised. lol.
Today while I left to buy some pineapple for the ward luau the games begun. Kurt put the kids down for a "nap" and he tried to get some of his business calls done. Little did he know the kids weren't tired after all, they had bigger fish to fry. He heard some noise coming from upstairs so he went to go scope it out. There stood the 2 little culprits smiling up at him with scissors gleaming in Emmitts little hand, and a "reverse mohawk" on Alainas once pretty golden locks. He couldn't have chopped a hidden part of the head like normal little kids do, he went straight for the gold. If you're going to do it...you better do it right! Oh my goodness. Beautiful golden little strands of evidence lay on the floor of my bathroom. Trust me this pic doesn't do the horror justice. Uh OHHHHH.....Moms home. The garage door opens and Kurt comes out to tell me about the little mishap. By the look on his face and the tone of his voice I can tell this is not going to be a pretty picture. He didn't tell me the location of the chop so I hoped for a miracle. I headed upstairs and their was little Alaina sneaking out of her room (she's still supposed to be napping btw). I couldn't do anything but stand there in shock as I stared at the spikey bits of hair in a row front and center on her little noggin.
In closing I would just like to say Emmitt charges ten bucks a pop for his signature look.☺ Emmitt decided he needed a tiny trim to...he's trying to bring the bald spot look back.
Oh the joys of motherhood.
The following video is for those who don't know the "reverse mohawk" story:

Look out American Idol!
These videos are the best! We were all hanging out at Travis and Joannes house wondering what to do, when Trav mentioned he got this singstar game. I was all over it! So we popped it in and decided to have a little karaoke fun. Eric was up to bat first, I heard from his wife Alex that he had some "rockband" singing experience under his belt so of course I had to insist he break the ice. It was hilarious! We were all laughing so hard. The version that Trav had was some old school rock mixed with some new, no chick singers but the girls joined in anyway. We had a couple battles, Eric and I battled to Nickelbacks Savin Me--- amazingly I won! Sort of sad that I won on a guy song (guess my voice can be pretty deep...lol.) Anyway then we did couples face off- Kurt whooped me 3 in a row before I finally got him back on foo fighters best of you. This other video is of Kurts first performance...priceless. Watch out American Idol, the Jude family is on the loose!☺"Burnin down the house" with that performance!

Hey Jude!
Eric, Amy, & Travis- This week we went up to Frazier and visited with the family. We left Tuesday evening and picked Eric & Alex up from the Ontario airport on the way. Wednesday we all just hung out and visited. Thursday night we came back cause Kurt had work Friday and then we took off again Friday night. We tried to catch the JV highschool homecoming game since Kurts little brother Isaac is on the team but we got there just as it ended. They won though! We bundled up as best we could and sat down for the Varsity game. Boy oh boy was it freezing!! We couldn't make it past the first quarter, the kids were miserable. And we were all starved! We left and went to Los Pinos the local Mexican restaurant and filled our tummy's.
Then we stopped off at my parents house to say hello for a while before heading off to The Shillig farm to sleep for the night. We stayed the whole wkend and left early Sunday morning to drive Eric and Alex back to the airport to catch their flight home. It was so nice to see them and spend time together. Luckily their coming back out in December so we get to see them 2 times this year instead of one...a miracle!! ☺ I loved catching up with Alex my sister, she's tons of fun and absolutely hilarious. She's perfect for my brother.
Can't wait for December to do it all again!♥

Duck Duck GOOSE!
Alaina, Ava, Emmitt, and Courtney playing at the park. These past couple of days we spent in Frazier visiting with family. My older brother Travis got in a pretty sucky dirtbike accident, and broke 3 of his ribs. Eric my little brother was able to get emergency leave to come and make sure Travis was ok. It was so nice to spend time with them, especially Eric since I haven't seen him in a year. The kids had so much fun playing together! My kids just love their cousins Ava and Courtney. These pics are from the local park up there. We took the kids to go feed the ducks. They loved tossing the cheerios at them and watching them all scramble for the food. Poor Ava was scared out of her mind when we first got there, she was not wanting any part of the ducks. lol! I decided we should get some fun pics of the cousins together before we left so these are the results of our efforts to get them all to pay attention.

A Visit from Uncle Isaac & Grandma Lark
This weekend Lark and Isaac came up to visit. Emmitt loves it when Isaac visits! He loves to beat up on him and hang with him. So cute to watch them together. Lark and Isaac got Emmitt his first riding gear outfit. He looked so cute so we decided to take a few pics. Here they are sitting on the harley that we rented.

♫I want a Cooool Rider♪
♫I need a c-o-o-l- r-i-d-e-r!♪ Today Kurt surprised me by bringing home a Harley he had rented. It was supposed to be a surprise he did on my birthday but the shop wasn't open the day of, so he saved the activity for today. He had planned a pretty long ride for us but the weather didn't want to cooperate so we decided to stay a little closer to home. I was soooo excited! I am definitely a bike girl!
I love motorcycles and dirtbikes! We hopped on and rode down to redlands for a bite and a movie. It was so much fun riding this thing, felt natural. I told Kurt this is our future.☺ I was singing the above song to myself while we were driving. (it's from grease 2 for those who don't know) I love that movie and used to replay that scene all the time when I was younger, I wanted to be Michelle Pfeiffer with her hot black skinny jeans and sweet black and pink jacket. We ate at Rubios and watched Eagle Eye. It was a great movie! What's a great day w/o a little drama though right?! Here's the juicy story of the day:
On the way to pick up the bike Kurt got into a little accident. Kurt made a left and another car pulled out of a gas station nearby. The kid decided to make an illegal U from the rt hand lane without looking and hit the truck on the right side. Thank goodness no one was hurt. Kurt told me he tried to slam on his brakes and swerve out of the way but he got hit anyway. Luckily there was a witness that came and told his story to the police to ensure that Kurt was not at fault. The truck suffered though, the right front tire drags on the fender that's bent in, and the right front passenger door won't open. Hopefully we'll get it fixed Monday! There's always something right?! Good thing is it's not our fault and insurance will pay us for the damage. Anyway we had a great time hoggin it up today! We're both so sold on the choppers though that a Harley probably isn't in our future but a bike is!

20's will soon be a memory
Happy 29th Birthday to my knight in shining armor! 10/3 was Kurts 29th birthday. His final year of the twenties kind of crazy to think of that way. The 24 hr bug arrived just in time to spoil the bigger plans. Kurt was sick the day before and I got sick the night before dragging into his birthday. We celebrated as best we could trying to pull through the exhaustion and aches. Kurt received a hurley button down shirt from Emmitt, Iron Man from Alaina, and guitar hero 3 from me. We spent the majority of the day resting and playing guitar hero. We then headed to Ontario for a night of indoor kart racing. I found a place called K1 that apparently has the fastest indoor kart racing around. The company has 3 different tracks including a super track similar to speedways. We had alot of fun knocking eachother around and playing cat & mouse. I love doing activities like this with Kurt you can see the little kid come out. At one point he took a turn a little too hard and got stuck, as I came flying up behind him I thought he'd move and be a gentlemen....too bad he couldn't move that quickly. SLAM went Amy into the wall behind him...lol...forgot there's a brake pedal. He thought that was pretty hilarious! When the race was almost up we were rounding the finish line when the guy waved the flag to signal the final lap, Kurt raises his arms above his head as if to signal his victory...too bad it was all in his head. ☺ Neither one of us won the race but we had alot of fun doing it. We came home and dug into the banana blueberry birthday pie I made him. MMMM! 29th bday success!♥
