Our Jedi

Kurts brother Jake and his little family came to CA to visit the week following Alainas birthday. It was so nice to be able to spend time with them! We didn't get much sleep while they were here, staying up until all hours of the night laughing at nothing and chatting. :) While they were visiting they spent a couple days down at Disneyland and we had the opportunity to spend a day there with them.

It was lots of fun, and our longest day at Disneyland so far. Our favorite thing that we did while there was watch Emmitt get to be a part of the Jedi training show in Tomorrowland. We've been meaning to watch it and try and see if he'd get picked for the longest time but we always seemed to miss it. This time we waited for it to start and Kurt went and sat with him on the floor in front of the stage so he could have an opportunity to be picked. All the kids start yelling me me and waving their arms once the main guy is picking his jedi trainees. Kurt picked Emmitt up over his head and the guy called out for Emmitt by describing what he was wearing. We were very excited that he was chosen. He was super pumped!!

He couldn't stop talking about it afterward and kept telling everyone he was a "True Jedi".

His uncle Jake pumped him up even more by making him feel extra special once the show was over. He loves his uncle Jake! We rode a couple rides in the morning and then luckily Jake & Caroline stayed at the Disneyland Hotel so we were able to go there and rest up a bit. I went and got swimsuits for our family at Walmart and we all went swimming together in the hotel pool. Emmitt & Alaina kept running and jumping into the pool while holding hands.

Emmitt also had a wrestling match with Uncle Jake in the pool, it was quite a sight.

I enjoyed hanging out with Caroline and getting to girl chat and playing with their cute little boy Malachi. He made me excited for our soon to arrive son. After we left Disneyland Emmitt pretended he was talking on the phone to Uncle Jake, and he told my friend that his uncle lives at disneyland...lol. We all had a great time visiting and we're so glad they shared their vacation time with us!

I'm three!

On August 15th, our little princess turned three. I know I am WAY behind on this post. She had a great 3rd birthday we spent the morning at home opening gifts.

She got a Fancy Nancy tiara, and earring set.

A barbie sleepover puppy

A barbie rock n roll guitar and microphone (for our lil rocker)

And a snow white princess dress

After we opened presents we all went down to Valencia, Kurt had to run errands and I wanted to take Alaina for her very first mani/pedi. Alaina chose her nail polish color and we both had our nails done in the sparkly pink she chose. She was very good while they worked on her, and she sat in her own little massage chair.

After we got our nails done we went to this little mini golf indoor place that Kurt had gone to w/ Emmitt while we were doing our nails. Alaina seemed to be more interested in the decorations than the actual golfing part. Thay had a pirate theme and Alaina kept telling Kurt that there were scary skeleton pirates. Kurts brother Jake and his family came visit CA the day of Alainas bday so we all went to dinner and had cupcakes at our house that evening.

Alaina helped make and decorate her cupcakes. We had princess sprinkles, some were cinderellas shoe and pearls, and snow whites apple, and stars. She had an awesome 3rd birthday surrounded by family.

Little Ballerina

Alaina has officially started dance. I just LOVE watching her! It's so cute when their this little because they really have no idea what their doing but they try so hard. Alaina does ballet for the first 1/2 hr than tap for the last 1/2 hr. She is one determined little girl, you can see that she's really trying to focus and do it right. Her first class she was all by herself which helped her to focus a little more, her second class she was joined by her cousin Ava. These 2 girls are so cute and they are the best of buds. Ava was a little scared to get out on the floor right away and Alaina stayed by her side encouraging her to come dance with her, it was very sweet. I love my little prima ballerina.

Connor Scott Jude

Finally I got pictures of my new nephew. These pictures of my brother as a new Dad made me tear up. I think Connor has the cutest little face, he kind of reminds me of Emmitt when he was born.

Enlisting your help

So just 2 days ago Kurt tells me he's kind of over the name Maddox. Not the info you want to here when your 8 mos prego!! I hate not having a name set in stone so I am enlisting your help. Give me your opinion. We found these names while searching again. I don't like common names, I like names you don't hear very often. Kincade and Fallon (pronounced fal like pal & in.) are both irish. Kincade means battle chief, and Fallon means leader. The name has to mean something manly for Kurt to like it. He thought these 2 were cool. Greyson means pleasant. Gradey means noble. Evan means young warrior. If you have the time tell us your opinion, or if you have a unique name you want to share leave us a comment. Thanks!

Which name do you like best?

My first Nephew!

I am happy to say my very first nephew on my side of the family was born yesterday! My little brother Eric and his wife Alex had their little boy August 3rd. Connor Scott Jude weighed 8 lbs 3 oz, and is 20 1/2 in long. She had him all natural, Alex you are super woman! She labored for 30 plus hrs! Connor has tons of dark brown hair, and blue eyes. They are living in Japan so I won't get to see my nephew for a while. I can't wait to see pictures of him! Once I get pictures I'll post them. Alex and Connor are doing great and Eric is a very happy new Dad!
