A piece of mind b4 it's lost completely

I don't know what it is about this year but it does NOT feel like Christmas. Sure, we've got the tree and decor going on in the house but it just doesn't have the same Christmas spirit this year. (at least in our home) My attempt to bring christmas cheer into our home with some christmas cookies was a fleeting moment. I really have never made christmas cookies before, this year I thought it'd be fun and it was and they were definitely yummy but it didn't bring the christmas cheer I was looking for. Tip: Those who want to make christmas cookies, try pioneer womans recipe they were very yummy! a hint of orange and vanilla. mmm.

This past week has really just been the week from h-e-dbl hockeysticks. I always seem to get sick when it's crucial not to! I don't why but the holidays come and a cold creeps up to ruin it all. Alaina, Maddox, and I are fighting colds. On top of everything else, I won't go into all the details cause there really is too much and I'm sure I'd bore you to death. Let's just say it's an amazing thing I am still somewhat sane. The kicker is we have a mouse problem. OH YA....I can hear the gasps of horror and pricklys on your neck as you read this awful thought. Now I know it's pretty norm to have a mice issue in the "country" but to have caught 5 mice in one night....that's more of an issue!! Yes I said FIVE! Please kill me now. Sometimes it's not just your kids who say they want to run away from home.
