Shillig Family Reunion 08'

June 17th we headed off to the Shillig Family Reunion in Mesquite, NV. It was a blast! Who knew that so many great people could be a part of one family! :) The festivities were held in honor of Grandpa Shillig who was celebrating his 80th birthday. The drive out went pretty smooth, the kids slept most of the way. We arrived around 4 pm, unloaded our gear, freshened up, and headed to the Oasis Resort where the reunion was being held. Boy we're there alot of people to meet and greet!! Some Kurt hadn't seen in quite some time, and most I personally had never met. It was tons of fun, we had dinner together and chatted it up, and then of course got some swim time in. It was pretty humid out there so the pool was much looked forward too! The following day everyone met up at Grandpa Shilligs home for breakfast, and then the immediate Shillig fam got ready for the group pics. We took some amazing pictures of the individual families, and everyone together! (Great Job to Ashley our photographer!!) We then took part in a Jeopardy game, a beautiful family movie of slides, and dinner & games. We also held a family talent show after dinner. It was great! Our little family did a skit. I narrated and Kurt and the kids acted it out. It was precious to watch my little babies play. They pretended they were warriors and Alaina was the princess who saved them by giving CPR...LOL!! You should see my daughter do it, it's hilarious! I wish I had video of it. The following day we went to the temple, and met at the park that night for the final get together. It was tons of fun, and thank you so much Aunt Stacey for putting it together!! "The red shirt Shilligs" (The offspring of Bill Shillig Fam)
