Finally it is warming up and we can hit the beach! I have been telling Kurt how much I want to go to the beach so Friday he surprised me with a beach trip. We took the kids to Santa Monica Beach. It was a bit cold, not my ideal day the wind was freezing! But the kids had fun regardless. Alaina dug for sand crabs and spent most of her time playing with them. Emmitt went boogie boarding for the very first time and loved it. Maddox spent the majority of the day on the blanket with me trying to keep warm. Kurt played with the kids and got in some boogie boarding time of his own. We packed a big picnic and had a nice lunch together before heading back to our warm vehicle. Can't wait for it to get HOT! Summer is my favorite time of the year! I didn't realize that Kurt had brought the camera along till the end of our trip so I have no video or pictures of the boogie boarding adventures. Looks like we'll just have to plan another beach trip, let's just hope it's hotter next time around.

I love the beach and only like it to be cold at the beach at night when you can walk with your sweetheart :) kids never like the wind. Hope y'all can come to our side of the country for some warmer water and smaller waves :)
adorable pics!!!! I wish so badly that I lived closer to the beach, I could be a total beach bum!!! Glad you had fun, hopefully it will be warmer for you next time. ; )
