Posting this a little late....For Memorial Day we decided to take a family trip to the beach. It was Maddoxs first time and we took him to the very same spot that was Emmitts first trip to the beach. It's a cool spot up in the Malibu Canyon area, it's not a typical public beach that everyone knows of and it's easy to get to. This beach is in a neighborhood area and you basically park in the neighborhood and walk to the cliffside and take a steep trail down. It was such a pretty day, and we all had so much fun.
Maddoxs favorite thing to do unfortunately was to eat the sand. How do you prevent a baby who has no idea what no means to stop eating the sand that surrounds you? lol. It was pretty funny trying to control him.
Alaina had a ball just playing in the sand and making things.
Kurt and the kids built a sandcastle. Kurt, Emmitt, and Maddox (against his will) were the only ones brave enough to venture in the water.
Alaina and I prefer the warmer terrain. We buried the kids which was very fun and tempting to leave them buried for a bit. #
Kurt and I played a little football before we left. I don't know why but football is one of my favorite things to do while at the beach, that or play paddle ball. Kurt tried to get video of me throwing the ball to him on camera but our battery had died, he seems to think I have one amazing throw. I give the credit to having all brothers. # It was a relaxing Memorial Day at the beach for us. How'd you spend your Memorial Day?

I remember going to the beach Emmitt's first time! I have pictures and remember that hike down and football on the beach!!
