(Nana and Pop pop- 2 of the greatest people in the world)
Monday June 8th- Our final day in Florida before heading home. :( If we had our kids with us on the trip I don't think I would've come home. I had such a great time with the Jude side and realized how sad it is that we haven't had much time together. I LOVE my family, they are amazing people and I am going to miss them so much.

We spent the first half of our day just packing and washing up to leave. Kurt finished up with some of the work he wanted to help my Pop get done. He did a bunch of yard work and got his swim in the pool. We picked up some subway sandwiches for lunch, and stopped off at Walmart to pick up our disc we made with all the pictures we wanted to take home with us. When we tried to pick up the disc however there was an issue. The lady at Walmat told us that she couldn't sell us the disc because of their policy with professional photos, we have to have permission to copy them. I couldn't help but start laughing as she showed us what photos she was talking about. She pointed out a couple from my grandparents wedding, my Pops marine corp pic, and some childhood photos of my Dad and grandparents. Are you kidding me?? I have to get permission to copy photos from the 20's??!! I was so frustrated, not to mention this is our last couple hrs in FL so what do I do now?! Kurt begged and pleaded with the lady but she wouldn't budge. When we asked her what happens to the disc now he said she'd shred the index pic and scratch the disc and throw it away. JUST GIVE US THE STINKIN DISC!! We had to walk away empty handed. She informed us the only way we could get copies or a cd of those pics is to do it on a personal computer. My grandparents don't have a computer, and even if they did we didn't have time now. One of the main reasons for coming to Florida was floating away from me. We went home and explained what happened to my grandparents, my Nana being the sweetheart she is told me to just take the ones of my Dad in his younger years, they would go to him anyway she said.
Still I was bummed just because I wanted copies of my grandparents childhood photos as well and especially copies of my Uncle Erics photos. My Pop told me he'd have my Aunt Dawns bf Gary make a cd for me. Before we left for the airport we wanted to get some video of my Pop telling his family history and some memorable stories. We got a little sidetracked with that and left later than we had hoped to. The goodbye part was the worst and something that I was dreading since we arrived, I didn't want to leave. Once in our car we realized we were definitely cutting our time way too close. We called the car rental place just before we arrived to see if there was a shuttle to the airport ready and waiting since we had to get there asap to make our flight. They informed us the guy had just left and probably wouldn't be back for another 20-30 mins. They said there was a place across the street that had a shuttle that might be quicker so we drove there first to check it out. Kurt had to pay their parking fee to get us on the shuttle but they had one leaving right away so we grabbed all our gear and loaded it into the shuttle. I sat there and waited while Kurt returned the rental car. Once we got to the airport we really had to book it. The lady at the front desk told us she didn't think we had time but she'd try it anyway. We definitely couldn't check our bags so we ran to the security check. Once there Kurt ran ahead to see if we could catch the plane while I dealt with the scan. Since we checked our bags to begin with my bathroom stuff was not trial size, which it needs to be in order to carry on so I had to chuck all of my stuff. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't my expensive stuff, bye bye shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover, cleanser, moisturizer, lotion, pomade, hair protectant syrum, etc. I wasn't too happy about that! Kurt came running back and said we made it but barely they were holding the door for us. We ran from the check to the gate. Once we were finally seated on the plane Kurt asks me if I have the video camera. OH MY GOSH...we left the video camera on the shuttle!!!!!!!! We wouldn't be able to call them till we hit Dallas. What a nightmare! We have no luck leaving Florida, last time we were in florida was for our honeymoon and we missed that flight completely and had to do the van share a ride to Tampa to catch up with it. After discussing it we just started laughing at the situation, at least we had eachother and we were going home to our babies.
We didn't get home till 1 am and the following day we were able to get confirmation from the shuttle company that they would be mailing our video camera to us. What a wild n crazy ending. It was an awesome trip and sooooooo great to spend time with family. I missed them pretty much instantly. We are planning on going back with our kids very soon! We love you all.
