This past weekend we took a trip to Huntington Lake, CA. My family has been there several times and it's an awesome place to camp. Our little family unit rented a cabin since let's face it..."tenting it" just isn't in my pregnancy vocabulary. :) The kids LOVED the cabin mainly because of the bunk bed! Emmitt immediately claimed the top, and kept coming up with reasons why he needed to sit up in his bed. It was a small little thing but worked just great for us. Best part was the shower and hot running water, and refrigerator. Why do people tent it again?! LOL. We enjoyed fishing (no bites though), and hiking. We also went on a mini trip down to Shaver Lake to shop and eat. We saw this beautiful waterfall on the way in so we decided to go back and hike to get to it. Little did we know it is quite a ways up the mountain. My brother Travis and his little family went on the adventure with us. The little ones were getting tired and cranky so Kurt & Emmitt went up ahead to see if it was any closer than we thought. They found a smaller one but couldn't quite get to the big one visible from the highway.

Can't fish without bait!
My poor Mom got sick while we were up there and I felt so bad for her. It's no fun camping while sick. The kids were very cranky!! I don't know what their deal was but man oh man they were whiny. Maybe the elevation made them a bunch of psycho's but my well behaved babies were definitely missing in action. Kurt & I both agreed that we stayed for the perfect amount of time. My grandparents were up with us as well, and it was fun getting to chat with them. My grandpa will be turning 80 this Saturday and I am looking forward to that family get together!

Isn't she so cute?!! On the way in Alaina was feeling a little sick so we pulled off and let her play around so her stomach could settle.
