Life is an Adventure

I don't know what I was thinking when I said I'd post my pictures tomorrow. We are off to embark on a new adventure, we're moving this weekend. I actually stayed home from school today considering we have yet to pack one box. LOTS of work to be done!! I don't know when I'll be back online but hopefully it's not too far off. Tomorrow is the BIG day and we hope to complete our transition from here to Valencia. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, until we meet again ^

Old Friends

Have you ever been in one of those moods where all you can think about is old friends? Friends that you've either lost contact with, don't talk to enough, or just haven't seen for a while. Today I am in one of those moods. I am missing my friends. A girl needs her friends, I do have my hubby but girlfriends are a very different thing. They know your perspective, they feel what you feel. So this is a shout out to my friends:

P.S. Yesterday I dyed my hair and I am loving it. Today I am putting a glaze on it to bring it out a little bit more so I won't post pictures of it until tomorrow. #

Some like it Hot

RED hot that is. I have always admired Ashley Simpsons hair ever since she went red. Her shade is really pretty. I've secretly wanted to be a redhead since then but haven't had the guts to do it. So this week in school we've been working on color, and my instructor brought in a ton of color to try out on our doll heads. Yesterday I chose a color exactly like Ashley Simpsons to do on my mannequin.

It came out beautifully, and then I strand tested the back of my hair. ^ it! Which brings me to my point in this post.....today I am biting the bullet and going red!! A little scary but I think it'll look awesome, plus my hair pulls red anyway. # I'll be sure and post pictures once all is said and done. Wish me luck!

And remember...."Gentlemen may prefer blondes...but it takes a REAL man to handle a redhead." lol. Goood thing Kurt doesn't really mind what I do to my hair, he says it doesn't matter how you wrap it, the prize is still the same aka me. awwww! %

I'm growing my hair out too, I really miss having long hair and it's been short since I had Alaina. So I plan on growing it out and doing her style cut too, what can I say she's got style.#

Wishful Wednesday

YAY I am on top of things! Here's this weeks Wishful Wednesday:
'I wish' .... I could afford one of these Coach bags without putting a dent in my pocketbook!

I have always wanted a Coach bag but can't justify spending that much money on a purse! Plus, my husband would kill me...lol. This one screams BUY ME! The Madison embossed exotic carryall in pink...ooh lala! I love the hint of crocodile print and that it's not super overdone. I'm in ^.
The price??? $598....in my dreams for sure.

This one is just classic coach style to me, and could go with practically everything. LOVE it! Oh to live in handbag heaven!

What purse would you buy if you had the dough?

Do you scream for ice cream?

Yesterday we did our hair and makeup competition at school. Our class was divided into 4 different teams. The class had already been planning this competition before I started school. So me and the 3 other people that started the same day I did were put together as a group. I'd have to say yesterday has been my favorite day at beauty school so far, it was SO much fun! I was probably laughing the entire day. From 5:30 to 9:30 was the time alotted for making our ideas come to life. Then we had to go downstairs to be judged by the senior class teachers. The school itself is in downtown Burbank, the place to be apparently. It is always crowded! You can see the entire downstairs from out in the street so passersby got quite a show! It was hilarious people were stopping and just watching the "crazy parade" inside. We were all numbered and had to march around the front podium and then line up so the judges could figure out the winner. I was the first to be fully embarrassed. I have to say, I am not shy. I was having an awesome time laughing at myself, so I danced around the podium shaking my ice cream thing and pointing at my rad hairdo for the onlookers. Everyone was cracking up. Whoever heard of a grumpy ice cream cone anyway? lol. Our competitors were all in the emo type category so I thought we had a awesome chance of winning this thing. It came down to me and a girl who was made up like Malificent off of Sleeping Beauty.....she won. :( boo. But hey the newbies won 2nd place!! We showed them! We all got certificates and a Starbucks gift card. It was good fun, and I am so ready for another competition. Getting the stuff off my face was another story....ouch.

Pretty please with a cherry on top. This is Jaeleen, she's my bud in school. She and I were the ones who pretty much put together this entire idea.

I couldn't really smile in this pic the cone wasn't completely on there yet. I promise I was way happier than I look...ha ha.

So Behind

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to school I go!

I apologize for my lack of blogging!! It may get worse but I will do my best to keep up. I miss all my blogging buddies. ^ I think I've left you all hanging long enough so it's time for a serious update.#

I am completing my 2nd week of beauty school today. My first week we did perms, who knew there were so many different kinds! This week we worked on chemical and wet hairstyling. Things like relaxer, thio, and one of my favorites finger waves! (like Renee Zellwegers hair in the movie Chicago)

School has been fun and time consuming hence the lack of posts. The drive everyday is the worst but hopefully we will move to Valencia, things are still be worked on in that department.
The kids are doing great! I feel so blessed to have a husband who is so willing to make things happen. He stays with them while I go to school and they are loving all the new extra Dad time. Kurt takes them to the park, and plays all kinds of games with them.

Alaina somehow got a hold of a needle and thread a couple days ago and decided she'd work on her sewing skills, here is her "project."

Maddox discovered his tongue a week ago and is constantly sitting around like this:

He has also discovered his feet and is always playing with them. He rolled from his back to belly just the other day! And now we're working on sitting him up, he can hold it for a good 30 seconds or so.

I forgot to post my update with P90X, I am now on my last 30 days. I really love this program and know that if you commit to it too you will see results as well. My stomach is now flat, and back to where I was when working the gyms. Maddox is only 5 mos! Good stuff! My favorite dvds in the program are the Ab Ripper, Legs and Back, Core Synergistics, and Plyo. I haven't dropped any more weight which is completely fine because I really don't need to, I've been gaining muscle! My arms are starting to make me happy...lol. I like toned arms. I can now fit size 2's! #

In other news, yesterday we had our first exam in school and I got a 95. YAY! Today we are doing a hair and makeup competition. Let me just ask you, do you scream for ice cream??

I am the model for my group and I will be transformed into an ice cream cone! Gotta ^ it! I'll try and get the pictures up of the comp tomorrow.

Wishful Wednesday- Wedding

This weeks Wishful Wednesday is on wedding dresses.
I loved mine and I wish I had pictures on this computer but I don't. I have no "I wishes" about my wedding dress since I have been there done that and I wouldn't change a thing. So I thought I'd show you some dresses I were to wish for if I was getting married today.

I love designer Simone Carvalli, the dresses are just gorgeous! I love the ruffles on this one.

Loving the bottom of this one!! I found it really sad that when I was looking at the wedding dresses that about 90 percent of them are tube top. Horrible! My cousin had a tube top dress and she was tugging at it all day, wedding gowns are so heavy how the heck are you supposed to keep it up?! Sometimes a girl just needs sleeves, but other than that they are beautiful.

I like the silver touch to the first one. The ruffled high collar on the 2nd pic is classy. The cap sleeves on the third picture are perfect- that's how my dress was. And the fourth one I love all the detailing. So those are my picks for wedding dresses of the now.
If you could wish for a wedding gown what would yours look like?#

My Style Monday- Bedroom

Monday Monday...another my style Monday just for you! # This week we're going to look at the bedroom, where all the magic happens..lol! I figured I'll be realistic on this one although I did find this picture and if we were living in a dream world I'd like to say...YES PUHHH-LEAZ!!!

GORGEOUS!!! That'd be like waking up in heaven every morning.^
I also thought this bed was just plain interesting. I've never seen anythng like it. If you have a fairytale type bedroom theme it'd be cute like you're in an enchanted forest or something.

But onto the My Style portion here. So my future plans for my bedroom are a black and white toile theme with a french feel. I dream of going to Europe so I want to incorporate that ^ into my bedroom. Something like this would be very nice!

We have some old hand me down bedroom furniture right now, and a bed frame not a actual bed with headboard footboard. I plan on refinishing the bedroom furniture to save a little money, and it just seems like a fun project. Our dresser pretty much is this exact one but in the old worn out wood finish I would like to make it white just like this one.

I would love to one day have avanity like this one in my bedroom since I am such a huge makeup fan!

These are just some fun decor ideas that would go with my theme.

Of course the bathroom would have to have the same feel, these are so cute!

Canisters for q tips, cotton balls, bath salts, etc.

Love the accent of toile on these towels. I also thought the decorations in this bedroom are really cute too.

That's my bedroom style, what's yours?
