March 3, 2010- my firstborn turned five yrs old!! I can't believe how quickly things have gone. Most people look at Emmitt and think he's at least 6 though. Strangers honestly think I'm lying when I tell them how old he is. His birthday was an awesome one! The day before we were out running errands so we took him to Johns Incredible Pizza in Bakersfield. He loved playing all the games and riding the go carts.
The morning of his birthday he had a big breakfast of french toast, and bacon. Grandma Lark and Uncle Isaac came over to wish him a Happy Birthday and drop off a present before they headed out for their day. They got him a baseball mitt and ball, sweetheart cookies, and a giant reeses heart.

After they left he got to open the rest of his gifts- he got five presents for his 5th birthday.

He received an xbox 360 lego batman game, an iron man toy, samurai swords, toy story walkie talkies, and a set of toy guns. After we opened gifts Kurt took him out to the farm to ride his dirtbike, while I prepared his cake.

Pay no mind to my terrible gel writing on top. # This is Death by Peanut Butter Cup. It's really not called that but I think it's a more fitting name. This cake was ridiculously good and rich! We also had a dinner per Emmitts request of spaghetti, parmesan garlic bread, and salad.

I know you can't get your mind off that cake so let me enlighten you for a moment. It's a devils food 2 layer cake with peanut butter cups in it! Topped with a dark chocolate peanut butter icing and you guessed it...more peanut butter cups!! Aye Carumba! It was one of my best. #

What a handsome little stud muffin Emmitt is! And that cake looks to-die-for!
