Look who's 1!

Maddox turned one on Oct 4th! For his birthday we didn't plan anything except for him to get his pictures done that morning. He started off the morning with a bath so he'd be squeaky clean for pictures. He LOVES the bath, and will stand out the door crying if someone else is in it instead of him.

After his bath we went to the mall for his pictures. While we were there, we saw this HUGE circus tent set up in the parking area. We checked it out to see how mch the tickets were and decided that might be a fun event for Maddoxs bday so we purchased tickets for the show that evening. The kids were really excited!! We picked up Maddoxs birthday cake, nothing super fancy we kept it simple.

He was a very neat eater no smashing for him, just straight to his mouth. He had no clue how to blow out the candles so we had to help him a bit.

Then Maddox had another bath to clean all the cake off. This is Maddox on sugar aka crack lol:

The circus started at 7, we had so much fun! They didn't allow flash photography or video while the show was going on so the only pictures we have are of us before and during intermission.

We asked the kids what their favorite part was and they said the clown. We liked the clown too, he did alot of audience participation skits. Not the typical clown which was nice because I'm sure the kids and I would have been freaked out if it was the clown we all picture. No makeup, just a big suit and nose. Happy Birthday Maddox, we love you and you bring us so much joy.
